self-portraits

At the start of term four, we did self-portraits art we learned how to mix colors to make them into our skin color.
for this task, we mix red, yellow, white, and a bit of black 

I like this activity because it was challenging and the challenging part was mixing the colors. Here is my artwork.

Service

This term our R.E value is service, we learned what service looks like in our school , look likes doing chores that you don't like doing or helping someone

For this task, we had to do a flipgrid and a Service poster on Canva

this task was boring and great using Canva was easy and flipgrid was the hard one.

Why Kids shouldn't work

 lasts week we did speeches we learned about speeches because we had to learn about persuasive writing

we had to write then present it to your class 

For me, I don't like doing speeches because you would need to write it

Do you think that kids shouldn't have to work? I firmly believe that kids should not have to work because they don't get enough free time to relax. do homework or they don't get their weekend and since kids grow up way too fast so let them enjoy their childhood.

firstly, I believe that kids shouldn't have to go to work after school because they don't get enough free time to relax. I like to relax because it makes me feel energized for my homework.

Secondly, if you go to work you have no time to do Homework. This makes you tired after work and does not want to do homework because you just want to sleep. Then you become behind in class and end up in catch-up club.

Lastly, You don't get any of your weekends, your weekend is taken up by working and you can´t game, sleep in, and have friends over.

and that is why I strongly agree that kids shouldn't work during the weekend so they can have a life where they don't get enough free time to relax, do homework or they don't get their weekend and since kids grow up way too fast so let them enjoy their childhood.

turtles

This week we were learning about green sea turtles we were learning about turtles to apply knowledge. for this task, we had to do five facts about turtles I did the green sea turtle and we drew a drawing. I did enjoy doing the dawing and nothing was challenging.  

have you send a letter to your friend?

 today we learned about pen pals. pen pals are people that talk and write about what they were doing. we learned about pen pals because of lockdown. For this task, we made an online letter to our friends about what they were doing during the lockdown. This task wasn´t that hard we had an example and I add a few things to it so that was why it wasn´t that hard.

Have you ever made a habitat in minecraft?

In a lockdown, we had to choose an animal for our habitat. I couldn't think of any other animal so I picked

bees and It was Minecraft

What I thought was challenging is thinking about what animal I should do. Here are some

In reading,  we were learning how to identify the author's purpose and we were learning about this so we can understand the author's POV is.

The task that we did was base on bees and it was called Bee- Factual

I did not enjoy this activity because the book that we read didn't have many facts and I did not like anything

Have you every been in Japan

Last week we were learning about Japan. We were learning how to collect information and since the Olympics are in Japan we did this. At first, it was hard but in the end, it was easy. I was using epic of this and the book that I was reading was called spotlight on Japan. 

Have ever tried to blend with pastels?

This week we've been learning about the land of the rising sun which is Japan, and we were also taught to blend colors with oil pastel. We learned about this because the 2020 Olympics are in Japan. It was hard to draw the pagoda but it was easy to color it in and my favorite part is blending the colors. Here's my art.

Have you ever use a Aquapod?

 I think that the rocket would get up to 5m and a bit of the water would stay in the bottle.

Have you ever used an Aquapod?

 You would need a 2.25L empty bottle then you need to fill 1/3 of the bottle with water then you need to flip the Aqua pod so it is upside down and you need to connect the bottle to the Aquapod. There is a black rubber that stops the water from escaping.  

 After that, you need to flip it so it can stand up then combine the foot pump with the valve.

 Then you use the foot pump to make air pressure, pump around eight to eleven pumps.

 lastly, pull the string then it goes into the sky and the water pressure goes up and down.

Have you ever made a golf course?

This week we've been learning about how to find the perimeter and the area in maths. The perimeter is the outside of the shape but you need to add to get the answer. The area is when you multiply the inside.

It was easy to make it and add but finding the area was hard

On week nine we were on scratch learning to use scratch. I found it hard to navigate around Scratch and I found it easy to code

 

past, present, future

Today we were finding images of our past, our present, and our future. We were learning to find images labeled for reuse. That means we get images using the explore tool or the image icon when using Google Suite. I enjoyed finding the old images because they look interesting. Have you ever weaved?

 On Monday we made a Mother's day card. We learned how to use a thread and needle. We learned about this so we could make a Mother day card for our mum's. I found it kind of easy to weaved because you had to go diagonal.

Superhero me

 This we had been learning to become super learners because being a super learner makes us positive and focused. While turning myself into a super learner I enjoyed using polylines to create interesting shapes but I also found it rather challenging to use. Next time I would use more cool colors.

Abraham and Sarah interview

In week 1 we were learning about Abraham and Sarah we were learning about them because they made a covenant with God. I learned about the story of Abraham and Sarah.   

I wish I was more involved with the writing of the Doc instead of just fixing the spelling mistakes. Next time I will

My ANZAC day postcard

 At the start of term one, we were learning about ANZAC day and how it is important to remember them. It was hard because I didn't know how to start my sentence. My solution was that I talk to other students about how they started their sentence to give me ideas.

My warm bedroom

 My warm bedroom

My favorite part of the house is my fresh warm bedroom. I love my bedroom because I dive into my comfy bed.

I have two beds in each corner of my room, I have one smooth table next to the window and bed and my wardrobe is under the second window.

Sometimes my room is as messy as a den and everyone says it's like a den.

My room smells like vanilla, during the day my room feels warm, and during the night my room feels cold.

Facts about seaweek

 We were learning about sea week. We had to research a sea creature. I chose a whale because there are so, many interesting types of whales. We had to start by typing in why we celebrate sea week, next we typed in 10 facts about our sea creature we chose. After that we put in what it eats and what it's predators are.

My goal setting

 This term we had to write our goal setting. My main goal is to be a positive and focused learner and to help others in many kind ways. I also want to learn to manage my time more efficiently by not getting distracted and not talking too much while I'm supposed to work.

Chinese new year

 We were learning about the Chinese new year of the Ox and the big race. Read the four facts on my poster.

hot cross bun

On week nine we made a big hot cross bun it was made with White Sugar, Salt, Flour, Wholemeal Flour, oil (light olive or canola, etc), 320ml water (room temperature), and 1 egg 75g citrus rind (if desired)
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp mixed spice
1/4 cup Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar
1/2 cup sultanas
1/2 cup currants
For the Crosses
1/4 cup Edmonds High-Grade Flour 
1/4 cup cold water
2 Tbsp Tararua Butter (melted)
For the Glaze
1/4 cup Chelsea Caster Sugar
2 Tbsp warm water

Whale art

Today we were learning about the seven Whales and blending in, we use dyes, the colors are dark blue and light blue, this is how we did it first we do about 2 stripes dip them in the water, and we repeat it
