At the start of term four, we did self-portraits art we learned how to mix colors to make them into our skin color.
for this task, we mix red, yellow, white, and a bit of black 

I like this activity because it was challenging and the challenging part was mixing the colors. Here is my artwork.

Why Kids shouldn't work

 lasts week we did speeches we learned about speeches because we had to learn about persuasive writing

we had to write then present it to your class 

For me, I don't like doing speeches because you would need to write it

Do you think that kids shouldn't have to work? I firmly believe that kids should not have to work because they don't get enough free time to relax. do homework or they don't get their weekend and since kids grow up way too fast so let them enjoy their childhood.

firstly, I believe that kids shouldn't have to go to work after school because they don't get enough free time to relax. I like to relax because it makes me feel energized for my homework.

Secondly, if you go to work you have no time to do Homework. This makes you tired after work and does not want to do homework because you just want to sleep. Then you become behind in class and end up in catch-up club.

Lastly, You don't get any of your weekends, your weekend is taken up by working and you can´t game, sleep in, and have friends over.

and that is why I strongly agree that kids shouldn't work during the weekend so they can have a life where they don't get enough free time to relax, do homework or they don't get their weekend and since kids grow up way too fast so let them enjoy their childhood.

On week nine we were on scratch learning to use scratch. I found it hard to navigate around Scratch and I found it easy to code

 

Superhero me

 This we had been learning to become super learners because being a super learner makes us positive and focused. While turning myself into a super learner I enjoyed using polylines to create interesting shapes but I also found it rather challenging to use. Next time I would use more cool colors.

My goal setting

 This term we had to write our goal setting. My main goal is to be a positive and focused learner and to help others in many kind ways. I also want to learn to manage my time more efficiently by not getting distracted and not talking too much while I'm supposed to work.

hot cross bun

On week nine we made a big hot cross bun it was made with White Sugar, Salt, Flour, Wholemeal Flour, oil (light olive or canola, etc), 320ml water (room temperature), and 1 egg 75g citrus rind (if desired)
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp mixed spice
1/4 cup Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar
1/2 cup sultanas
1/2 cup currants
For the Crosses
1/4 cup Edmonds High-Grade Flour 
1/4 cup cold water
2 Tbsp Tararua Butter (melted)
For the Glaze
1/4 cup Chelsea Caster Sugar
2 Tbsp warm water
